The Neusoft Education Technology Group 2023 Award Ceremony, themed "Inheritance, Innovation, and Transcendence," took place at the Dalian headquarters on January 18th. The passage of time is swift and the advent of the New Year draws near. As we enter 2024, we are gathering in person for the first time since the outbreak of the epidemic. On this auspicious occasion, on behalf of Neusoft Education Technology Group, I would like to extend our heartfelt New Year greetings and sincere appreciation to all our diligent employees and their families, our steadfast partners who have walked alongside us, as well as the friends from various sectors who have long cared for and supported the development of Neusoft education!
The year 2023 marks the era of post-pandemic normalcy. Neusoft Education has demonstrated unwavering courage and perseverance, adhering to our strategic blueprint while fortifying foundations, addressing weaknesses, leveraging strengths, accentuating distinctive features, and ensuring sustainable development. We have fully implemented the "one body and two wings" business development plan, vigorously expanding our educational science and technology innovation services. As a result, we have achieved remarkable breakthroughs in various endeavors, attained new accomplishments, provided innovative solutions, and surpassed the annual target tasks. The burgeoning digital wave has documented Neusoft Education's impressive and indelible journey in 2023.
This year, we have prioritized moral education and facilitated the high-quality development of the three universities. With a focus on enhancing quality, the three universities have kept pace with the evolving demands by updating and implementing the TOPCARES training index system. We have actively promoted blended learning and teaching reforms to empower students' growth and foster their talent development. We have focused on the fields of IT, digital media, and healthcare, actively expanding social services, optimizing and enhancing the school ecosystem, promoting the seamless integration of industry, academia, and research, as well as driving regional economic and social development. In the past year, we have made concerted efforts to promote the development of top-tier application-oriented universities, resulting in significant enhancements to their operational conditions, steady improvements in their academic standards, and continued reinforcement of their overall competitiveness.
This year, we have been committed to leveraging technology and accelerating the expansion of our dual-wing businesses. With the integration of digital education to support educational development, we have consistently increased investment in research and development while continuously optimizing our 4S product service system. The education resources business has achieved consistent growth by leveraging digital, productized, and platform-based resources and services. We have established collaborations with over 550 institutions nationwide to empower institutional reform and development. The continuing education services have maintained a robust development momentum, providing strong support for the establishment of a learning society. The formal continuing education has initiated its international operations, while the short-term training business has successfully covered 26 provinces nationwide, attracting over 60,000 trainees annually and serving nearly 1.9 million online education users.
In the past year, we have proactively undertaken our social responsibilities. We have responded to the state's call with tangible actions, organized specialized exchanges for supporting Tibet, implemented regional assistance programs, and facilitated access to education for rural students. The 2nd Vocational Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China has appointed us as their senior business partner due to our exceptional technical support throughout the event. Through leveraging various platforms, we facilitate school-enterprise exchanges and explore innovative models for digital talent training in line with the educational digital transformation. Guided by a strong sense of responsibility, we actively contribute to earning widespread acclaim from all sectors.
When we bid farewell to 2023, the collective emblem of those who advance hand in hand, the moments of overcoming challenges, the scenes of exertion, and the images of giving it our all converge to inspire all Neusoft education personnel to bravely forge ahead!
Comrades, reflecting on the developmental history of Neusoft Education over the past two decades, we have been fortunate to seize the opportunities presented by China's rapidly evolving IT industry and the continuous expansion of higher education. By adopting a distinctive and characteristic approach to our educational endeavors, we have achieved some notable accomplishments in the realm of IT innovation education. However, it is crucial for us to acknowledge that our past achievements do not guarantee future success; only through unwavering dedication can we strive towards a prosperous tomorrow.
The year 2024 is destined to hold great significance in the extensive history of our country. As the new China marks its 75th anniversary, we have entered a crucial year for thoroughly implementing the resolution of the 20th CPC National Congress and the 14th Five-Year Plan. After 45 years of continuous industrial restructuring driven by reform and opening up, China's economic development has embarked on a new stage. Confronted with the intricate external environment, as well as the challenges posed by demographic changes such as declining birth rates and an aging population structure in China, it is imperative for us to maintain a perpetual sense of crisis.
In 2024, as we embark on a new historical milestone, let us collaborate guided by the principles of "Inheritance, Innovation, and Transcendence." Together, we will continue to prioritize the domains of IT, digital media, and healthcare while expediting the establishment of a novel integrated ecosystem that seamlessly merges education, medical services, and healthcare through more assertive strategies and pragmatic actions. We will establish a future-oriented campus that caters to individuals of all ages, integrating digital technology, healthcare services, artistic creativity, experimental training, scientific research, and teaching. We will actively expand our innovative educational technology services and continue to contribute to the high-quality development of Neusoft Education while supporting the construction of a strong nation and national rejuvenation.
